Ferry Building
The Ferry Building is one of San Francisco’s most beloved landmarks, a historic 1898 structure anchoring the Embarcadero at the foot of Market Street with sweeping views of the bay and the Bay Bridge. As an event venue, it offers a rare combination of iconic architecture, culinary prestige, and waterfront beauty. The Grand Hall features a soaring ceiling, skylights, and 6,500 square feet of mosaic tile floor that accommodates 30 to 650 guests for weddings, corporate events, and private receptions. The Port Hearing Room provides a more intimate setting with floor-to-ceiling bay views for 10 to 120 guests. The Front and Back Plazas offer up to 50,000 square feet of outdoor waterfront space for large-scale activations and celebrations. Integrated with one of the country’s premier artisan food markets, the Ferry Building is a natural home for chef-driven catering. 49 Square Catering is proud to bring its locally sourced, seasonal menus to events at this treasured San Francisco destination.
